The number one thing you see with a migraine sufferer is their neck is out of alignment. We call that a subluxation in chiropractic. In my West Bend practice we see that all the time. Their neck is out of alignment. It affects blood drainage from the brain. It affects cerebrospinal fluid flow to the brain. You are also creating a lot of muscle, joint, and nerve tension and pressure, which can all create a headache.

I would look for a specific upper cervical chiropractor that does the Nucca technique or the Orthospinology technique. What we are going to do is we are going to take specific X-rays. We are going to look at your posture. Then, we are going to give adjustments to fix those. After the adjustment, we are going to take X-rays and look at your posture to make sure everything was fixed.

Once you’re in better alignment, the blood flow will normalize. CSF flow will normalize. Muscles will function normally. Joints will function normally. Nerves will function normally. Your body will feel much better, and the cause of the migraines will be fixed. Over time, the headaches or the migraines will get better.

Definitely, definitely if you are having migraines, find a specific upper cervical chiropractor, and get your neck fixed.
