It’s really important for auto accident victims to seek chiropractic treatment for a couple of reasons.
You can be out of alignment and not know it after a car accident. Yale has done studies that a 2.8 mph car accident can injure soft tissues. Many times you can be knocked out of alignment and not have any pain, not have any problems for months or years. I see it all the time in my practice. People come in six months or a year after a car accident, and they suddenly have headaches and migraines for no reason. Suddenly they’re dizzy for no reason, or have low back pain, neck pain for no reason and it’s all resulting from that car accident.
If you’re in a car accident, get checked by a specific chiropractor, especially a specific upper cervical chiropractor, someone that’s trained in the Nucca Technique, N-U-C-C-A, or the orthospinology technique. They will evaluate your posture, your body. They will look for differences in hip height, shoulder height, how your body is walking and moving through gravity. They they will take super-specific X-rays to make sure your body is in alignment. If it is out of alignment, they will give adjustments to fix it. That will reduce or eliminate the neck pain, the low back pain, the headaches and the migraines, dizziness, and prevent a lot of anxiety. Allergies, sleep problems, and insomnia may improve as well.
You just want to make sure you’re not suffering with chronic issues down the road. You’re going to prevent degenerative disc disease and joint disease from happening. A lot of shoulder, hip, knee problems and pain all come from a trauma. Many times a car accident, that may have happened months or years earlier causes the body to be chronically out of alignment and causes all these problems.
Getting to a specific upper cervical chiropractor and getting that fixed right away is going to prevent all those problems and help you feel a lot better and enjoy a really high quality of life.
